Located in Alyeska Resort’s mid-mountain lodge, the Bore Tide Deli had an underutilized corner with breathtaking views of Turnagain Arm, the Chugach Mountain Range, and seven local “hanging” glaciers. The design team saw an opportunity to transform the space into a revenue-generating Alaskan gem.
To make the most of the small, cramped space, we created an intimate lounge and bar that brought the natural surroundings inside, combining them with a contemporary/industrial look. We used river rock displayed behind wire mesh to add warmth to the room and paired it with exposed wooden beams. Stylish and inviting seating surrounds a striking custom-polished concrete bar with a raw steel structure.
The result was the Bore Tide Bar, a spectacular space that was once an overlooked seating area but is now one of the most popular spots at the resort.
